Tag Heuer Aquaracer Chronograph Grande Date CAN1011.BA0821 Mens Watch

Tag Heuer Watches

The Tag Heuer Aquaracer is a gorgeous timepiece designed specifically for the deep seas. It is one of the most renowned watches used for undersea diving and by the most dedicated professionals/ Created for professional divers with ideas coming from professional divers, the Aquaracer chronograph has undergone many rigorous tests so far that are considered the ultimate in terms of both water resistance and accuracy.

Crafted to operate flawlessly till 900 feet under the sea, the name Aquaracer itself speaks about its inspirations. It is dedicated to the sport of sailing; it is an arena where requirements, even shorter by a grain, can spell disasters. The Aquaracer, with its unrivalled, sportive distinction, is an affirmative nod to the turbid oceans. Above the dial is a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, which brings more clarity to the things underneath, offering max legibility in murky, dark waters. So you can guess how the visibility will be outside the water.

Extra functionality comes from the date display and the chronograph; its staggering, 300m of a water resistance making it resistant to every force of nature. The screw-in caseback bears a special diver decoration and the helium valve (at 10’o clock) comes with an extra protective seal. Its inner workings are as impressive as its exteriors. Yes, despite it being quartz.

The watch has several unique features which accommodate deep sea divers and should be noted:

• A three-dial chronograph.
• An unidirectional turning bezel.
• A screw-in crown with double gaskets.

Some might ask what a chronograph is doing in a diving watch. Well, it not only suffices in tracking the time you are under water (and therefore, tells you about the amount of oxygen you have left) but also helps to measure anything where accuracy is paramount! Here, you get the accuracy of 1/10th of a second. Such accuracy and fine division of time has logical relevance for any kind of fun you want to experience with ultimate safety; here, you can take it up to 12 hours at a stretch.

The unidirectionally turning bezel is another safety feature that works as a countdown timer that charts exactly how long you have been engaged in a specific task without engaging the chronograph. Or, to say differently, it helps you to preset the amount of time you want to spend at a job and track the lapse of time. It turns only to the right, so there’s no chance of knocking it with a surface and let the reading to haywire. The six large studs surrounding the bezel ensures you do not lose grip while turning it under wet conditions or when you are wearing thick gloves. The same applies to the oversized, screw-in crown. And the clasp – well, with TAG, you really don’t need to explain things.

All in all, the incredibly accurate, immaculately designed Tag Heuer Aquaracer Calibre is suitable to people from all walks of life, not just divers.

Armani Exchange Chronograph Black Dial AX1214 Mens Watch

Armani Exchange Chronograph Black Dial AX1214 Mens Watch

Armani Exchange is the high-gloss side of the Armani fashion line. The brand focuses on the younger crowd with provocative designs inspired by contemporary trends in dance music, backed by a street lifestyle.

Armani Exchange is represented as A|X on its products. Its prices are moderate prices (compared to other brand names) despite holding and maintaining supreme quality levels.

The Armani Exchange Chronograph Black Dial AX1214 Mens Watch exudes an overall style drenched in attitude and performance. It’s the basic principle around which it has been built and designed. It surpasses the boundaries of a decent watch and enters the domain of sharp, versatile and pairs-with-all look.

The Armani Exchange Black Dial Chronograph is a celebration in solid stainless steel construction and mineral crystal that’s attractive, comfortable and lets you freely express your personal style. Its trendy, youthful bent invokes the spirits of fall or holidays. Its sleek, streamlined and functional style helps it create a definitive modern edge which the contrasting bicolour scheme enhances all the more.

Compared to other fashionable, large watches from the brand, this stripped down chronograph is special due to a few reasons. It’s not an oversized chronograph, so has more access socially in an urban life. There are no unnecessary features (like helium valves and fathoms after fathoms of water resistance when primarily, you are going to use it in regular city life) to escalate both complexity and price. All those adhere to Armani’s design ethics which now bases on the concept of sublime simplicity.

The Armani Exchange Lady Hampton dial layout is between sparse and dense. It’s not overly crowded or looking busy, yet fills up the main dial space in a most complete manner. The sharp contrast between hands and the dial (also the subdial marks and borders) creates a forward-looking watch. It’s built to focus on telling time and count its every move without unnecessary clutter.

The watch boasts of a precision gleam about it. It imparts the watch a distinct sharpness, something which A|X does so well! It makes the timepiece worthy of a second look and a solid pick. Even without the gee-whiz stuff like rotating-bezels, more than necessary numbers of dials and microscopic markings. Its strong construction, subtle face design and only-essentials outlook makes it a comfortable all-day watch that handles rigors of fairly serious sports very well.

The weekends find the max use of it. It fits in somewhere between dressing down and dressing up, so dark jeans and a blazer goes with it as much as printed pink shirts and khakis.

The Armani Exchange Chronograph Black Dial AX1214 Mens Watch makes both for a great gift or a special occasion purchase. Its classic chronograph style demands attention and gets it as an easy treat.

Orient Automatic 21 Jewels Multi Year Calendar FEU00002KW Men’s Watch

Orient Automatic 21 Jewels
The multi-year calendar watch is unique due to its ability to put any month’s calendar on its face. It will give you instant solutions to problems related with matching days and dates in different months, years or weeks. The mechanism inside is original, in-built and mechanical. It’s the kind of movement that brings satisfactory impressions.

This makes the Orient Automatic Semi Skeleton Multi Year Calendar FEU00002KW Men’s Watch a tool for busy executives, businessmen, astrologers, astronomers, doctors – just anybody! If fixing meetings and setting works for a different time, the Orient Automatic 21 Jewels Multi Year Calendar FEU00002KW Men’s Watch offers sound practicality together with telling time.

Here’s an opportunity to handle the multi-year calendar watch. It is one of the newer designs but nevertheless stays one of Orient’s signature pieces. This is meant for more formal purposes, so there’s no slide rule.

For operations, there’s a pusher at the 2 o’clock position. Use it to set the multi-year calendar. The crown (at 3 o’clock) is not a screw-down one due to the same reason. In terms of operation, though, it is quite a standard one. Pull it out to the first-click position and set the date; the second-click sets the time.

The seven, vertical columns on the upper dial have the 12 months organized, under which, there is the year disc. It covers 21 years (2003 to 2024). To set the calendar, display the current month by pressing the pusher at 2 o’clock. Press until the current year shows on the disc. Align it to the column under the current month. If it’s leap year, it’ll be marked in red.

The lower dial displays the dates. From 1st to 31st, they are organized under the seven columns, the same way as in a calendar. The day disk stays at the top of the columns; it contains the days from Sunday to Saturday. Both the year and day discs are operated with the pusher.

When the current year is aligned to the column containing the current month, the day disc shall stop at the correct display.

It has been mentioned that it’s perpetual till 2024. After 2024, you will need to set even and odd months and leap years manually. But it’s never going to turn obsolete.

This is a limited edition model. From around of 2,000 units worldwide, a few hundred are left. It’s in memory of the collection’s 50th anniversary!

The multi-year calendar’s distinctive indications of time, day, date and year has received an eminent reputation. It evolved from its 1965 predecessor, now with a better surface finish and curved edges. The case back bears a serial number, engraved meticulously. It’s a proof of the authenticity of limited edition models.

The Seiko Velatura Yachting Timer Chronograph SPC149P1 SPC149P SPC149 Mens Watch is extremely tough but at the same time, extremely light, because it’s hard-coated stainless steel with greater toughness achieved through a thinner gauge. The bezel, the case-back, the crown are all screwed into the case, resulting in a powerful construction. Its 100m water-resistance and an excellent shock-resistance are perfect for everything, apart from deep-sea diving.

The colourful dial enhances the aesthetics by bringing in a peppy look, not found in too many serious watches. There’s a preset yachting countdown timer on the dial. It shows 5, 6 and 10 minute countdowns after which, the chronograph starts automatically. The Seiko Velatura 7T84 Caliber offers a free-set countdown timer too that’s set in 1 minute increments and covers up to 15 minutes.

The chronograph function provides split-time measurements and can count up to 12 hours. It shows 1/5-second increments and allows restarting the counters any moment with fast transition of the hands to where they were previously.

There are two alarms - single time and regular. In regular mode, it will beep everyday at the preset time while for the single, it’s only for once. Now, that’s pretty useful in a day to day, urban life.

Orient Automatic 21 Jewels World Time Power Reserve FA06001B Mens Watch

Orient signed to sponsor the SUBARU TECNICAL INTERNATIONAL INC. (STI) in 2009 to test the functionality and durability of their watches as they share the pressure of the racetracks with their respective wearer. It was to prove that Japanese Engines are always the best. It’s the same degree of seriousness that goes into the Orient Automatic 21 Jewels World Time Power Reserve FA06001B Mens Watch.

The first thing we can say about the Orient Automatic 21 Jewels World Time Power Reserve FA06001B Mens Watch is it has something very different from other world time watches. This brings the watch its WOW factor and puts it head and shoulders above competitions, even with some of the Swiss!

The highlight of the watch is its dial. Apart from the exuding class and a fine craftsmanship, emphasis goes into its two-layer main dial. There are two chapter rings, with the world time (inner) and names of the cities (outer) written on them. Very clearly printed and therefore, very legible, the external ring rotates as the 4’oclock crown is turned.

Setting the world time needs aligning your current city to the current time on the 24 hour chapter ring. This aligns the rest of the cities (all in different time zones) to their respective current time; however, this is not a digital watch so daylight savings time does not apply.

Inside, there ticks an Orient Star Retrograde 46K40 movement, which doesn’t take manual winding and doesn’t hack. But, with the power reserve meter, manual winding is not a big factor since you always know when to shake it up a bit. But then again, with its fabulous wrist presence, you shall give it a fair amount of wrist time, which takes care of the winding part. Four to 6 hours of wearing winds it up fully.

As for the hacking part, it is important for COSC certified watches or those syncing to atomic signals; besides, this one is much more accurate (+ 7 seconds a day) than normal mechanical watches and doesn’t require resetting every now and then. Among the extra, there’s a display back that allows seeing the movement inside. The movement is a decorated one with 21 jewels; there are Geneva-styled waves and swirls machined on it. Sapphire crystals on both sides (on the dial and on the caseback) with ARC (anti-reflective coating) make it even more attractive!

Overall, the Orient Automatic 21 Jewels World Time Power Reserve FA06001B Mens Watch is a very satisfying watch that never fails to perform its duty. It is of a great value and compares very well with entry-level Swiss made watches, at a price that’s far lower. Agreed even by fans of Swiss timepieces, the Orient Automatic Power Reserve FA06001B Mens Watch conveys a quality that’s simply great and capable of changing the perceptions of a lot of people to whom Swiss is synonymous to watches.

Suunto X-Lander Black Digital SS012197310 Watch

Suunto X-Lander Black Digital SS012197310 Watch
Active outdoorsmen swear by the ABC watches and it’s Suunto who kind of re-invented the type. The Altimeter, Barometer and Compass combination is a versatile one aiding anything from golf to rock climbing; from sailing and surfing to skiing. But, it has to be hard enough to stand the ordeals; else a tactical package is of no use. The Suunto X-Lander beats others on this ground. Lightweight and tough as a nail, the X-Lander serves you as much in the backcountry as within your luxurious yacht or when you are high above on the mountain trail. It’s not for nothing the geek circles call it the Mil-X (Mil is short for military) and this is the reason behind it. The design has proven itself in military operations and is less whiz-bang compared to many other of its ABC brethren, despite upgrades like the mineral glass (in place of acrylic) and carbon-fiber reinforced aluminum case instead of resin or stainless steel. All that makes for a package that’s both tougher and lighter.

Stinger buttons are another ground on which the X-Lander scores magnificently; these used to come formerly in the Suunto dive computers. These push buttons can be operated underwater, which is a stark contrast to the rest that have a strict restriction on underwater operability. Do it and they are gone! The Suunto X-Lander is prepared for such tough situations as well.

Apart from time, date and the ABC functions, the Suunto Vector keeps track of a second time zone; measures and splits time with its stopwatch function, allows for countdown, programs two separate daily alarms and also determines a wearer’s position relative to the sea level. Remarkably accurate on hills if you know the reference altitude; that way, you can know for sure if it’s just a rise or fall in altitude or an approaching storm. It leaves nothing to guesswork.

The Suunto X-Lander doesn’t allow you to make compromises, for if there’s one thing real professionals hate, it is making compromises. However, it’s not just professionals who are only entitled to go for the X-Lander, anyone with an eye and a want for a multi-functional sports watch is going to find this tight, little and tough package an elegant one. An abundance of features does not complicate things; on the contrary, they are extremely user-friendly with easy operating logic behind. The large display allows for big numerals, which is a privilege when you are under stressful conditions and an electro-luminescent backlight makes it fully usable even when its pitch dark. Exclusive looks within a rock-solid foundation, that’s the best way to describe the Suunto X-Lander Black, its non-allergenic materials (both for the case and the strap) making prolonged usage absolutely a breeze.

Skagen Melbye Titanium Case with Mesh Band SKW6007 Mens Watch

Skagen Melbye Titanium Case with Mesh Band SKW6007 Mens Watch

Skagen has a flair for streamlined, high-end designs, which they prove again through the Melbye Titanium case steel mesh watch. Its clean strokes and the brightly coloured inner numerals ring are unique and make it fit for both work and weekend.

The use of Titanium makes the Skagen Melbye both lightweight and strong and gives it a timeless finish. The Danish watchmakers brought in new evolutions in traditional designs; it’s their philosophy of excellence that fuelled the creation of this simplistic beauty, rather than re-packaging usual sporty styles within sophisticated silhouettes. The whole effort came out as a striking design, with inspirations coming from the dress-sports line of thoughts.

The Skagen Melbye Titanium Case with Mesh Band SKW6007 Mens Watch so far, is one of the masterpieces the brand came up with; blending a sporty feel to dressy elements and catchy colours, the neat outcome is a product that’s not age or occasion specific but an all time, all-round wear.

Its prominent features include a round titanium body that flows into somewhat square-ish extensions at the poles (12 & 6) to connect with the mesh band. The titanium is an apt choice in this regard, for it is virtually scratchproof and a fifth of the weight of steel of a similar mass. This makes it an ideal accessory both for work and play and for people with highly sensitive skin. Titanium is the most bio-friendly metal available and is also the most hypo-allergenic.

The next is an easily viewable day and date window. Positioned at three o’clock, it’s in high contrast with the grey dial. Running on analog quartz technology, it is accurate to the point and doesn’t need any user input unlike mechanical watches that must be worn or wound to keep them running. In this case, just a battery replacement every few years would suffice and there stays no such hassles like servicing that are required. The orange ring on the dial brings up a much needed break from the monotony of uniform grey and adds to the watch a vibrancy that pushes it into the sports category.

Atop the dial is a mineral crystal that’s as durable as the Skagen Melbye Watch itself; it ensures you don’t damage the watch if you accidentally bump your wrist against hard surfaces. It is also very hard to scratch, which means, your watch will keep looking like new even after years.

Along with all those there is a 5 meters water resistance that allows you to swim and shower without taking it off your wrist and thereby, cutting the risks of losing it altogether.

The Skagen Melbye Titanium Case with Mesh Band SKW6007 Mens Watch is for the person who likes the outdoors but not at the cost of curbed-down sophistication. It’s a wonderful example of simple Danish design, made from the most durable and bio-friendly of all materials. Built to stand the test of time, the ultra-lightweight Skagen Melbye Titanium brings out your sporty spirit within no time.

It’s quite surprising how MK gels old styles to new concepts to build a resilient, refined piece. Men who want watches more than 38mm but less than the standard 44mm shall find it a piece that’s hard to let go. Especially, when you are heading for an event where sophistication is the code!

But, this is not going to swamp dainty wrists! Average or slim wrists afraid of large, statement jewellery shall find it an absolute boon but those with very thick wrists shall find it not that suitable a choice. But then again, if you want to avoid the slouchy, over-the-hand fit, then the Michael Kors Mens Watches are perhaps the piece you are looking for.

Shiny, sophisticated but far from garish, it is also blissfully quiet; or should we say, it’s just quietly classy?

Casio Analog Digital Marine Gear AMW-710-1AVDF AMW-710-1AV Mens Watch

Casio
Those caught in an eternal debate of whether form, style and functions can unite without shooting the prices up atrociously must have a look at the Casio Marine Gear AMW 710 1AV Men’s Digital Analog Sports Watch. It is a fine example of all three going hand in hand, especially to them who die by the analog/digital format. For, in the Casio Marine Gear watch, the digital features blend effortlessly into the analog setting.

The prime functional strength of the Marine Gear AMW 710 1AV is its 1/100th second chronograph – well, stopwatch – as some digital aficionados would like to say. It measures time for a total duration of 24 hours (23:59'59.99), including elapsed time, two different ones, at a time, which is a great aid to the athletic and usual crowd both. Whether you are working out, jogging, swimming or racing and maybe even cooking, roasting or baking, it helps you get your things done to the exact span required for a flawless outcome. You also get split time that helps you keep track of different events one after another without requiring starting the process all over again.

On the durability side, stainless steel (case), aluminium (bezel) and resin (strap and buckle) play a wonderful symphony. Three levels of toughness ensure complete safety during rigorous activities. The combo looks trendy though addressing ingredients that are quite polar opposites.

Its usefulness, apart from the chrono- sorry, stopwatch, comes from the other functions which makes it fairly a loaded piece. The moon-phase indicator with tide graph earned it the designation of Casio Analog. Unless a watch can predict these two things precisely, it doesn’t qualify as a marine watch, even if you can take it thousands deep. Sailing the watercourses require the tide graph more than anything and tides, related to the phase of the moon, can let you take the strides or break your every effort. You want to return to the shore empty handed or with a big catch? The Casio Analog Digital can be a big determinant!

Next, it is the 12/24 hour format. You don’t need this in a casual day to day life unless you have a fascination for it, but in the real action world, things don’t go the 12-hour way. There, you need to denote the PM hours exactly as they read. Together with multi-alarms, hourly time signals and a full Auto-Calendar till 2099, you got one of the best tools for the trades on your wrist!

Oh, we went knee deep into technicalities; let’s see how it fares on the fashion road. Impressively dazzling, the Casio Chronograph catches eyes with its vibrant orange, steel and black; it gives the watch a peppy look but without going overboard. The colour combo radiates a sportive aura and adds the tough look. It’s more like a gentleman who knows when to be tough and not a thug who always looks tough.

Seiko Solar Mens Scuba Divers Sports Watch SNE107P1

Seiko Solar Mens Scuba Divers Sports Watch SNE107P1

Professional diving embraces quartz models due to one reason: They are way lighter than their mechanical counterparts. Formerly, when quartz translated to batteries, wearing a quartz watch underwater spelt some amount of trouble; you never knew if the battery is gonna conk on the way. With solar quartzes making into the scene, the fear has been taken care of. They are slim pickings and some are pretty interesting, like the Seiko Solar SNE107P1.

This is the perfect pick for them looking for a traditional case shape with something with a 3o'clock crown and a price that doesn’t choke you senseless. That way, the Seiko SNE107 is a safe spin.

The Seiko SNE107 is one of the 2011 solar lines of watches that Seiko released. It’s a surprise how Seiko managed to outline its specs according to ISO6425 certification at this price, but there’s no denying a divers watch only gets better with it. It also shows the manufacturer’s commitment towards the type, something which most do not exercise in their budget and entry-level models.

With Seiko Prospex, it is surprising that they invest extra expenses for everything they consider necessary for a watch that’s made for a particular job. The Diver's text on the dial is therefore, not just for show. Even the good-sized fluted crown announces its true Diver heritage.

But! This is not the type of watch that you either love or hate. You have to give it time to grow on you; maybe, a month or two. The stock bracelet is a great-looking one; however, if you really want to use it for underwater purposes, replace it with an aftermarket NATO or natural rubber strap. It has on advantage: Silicone-like flexibility with the durability of resin! The drilled lug holes make strap changing a breeze.

The size of the watch is another sensible aspect of it. At 42mm, it is neither small for big wrists, nor big for thinner wrists. The size simply imparts an elegance that complements the case size. All those are collectively termed as the Seiko Premier, well-programmed into the overall design of the SNE107P1, including the lume and the dark, charcoal-coloured dial. Try it under all kinds of lights; you can never spot the solar panel underneath. A pleasant surprise that comes with the SME107P1 is the blue SAT and red SUN peeping from under the DAY window, but this isn’t good for them with a weak eyesight.

But all in all, the SNE107 is recommended. Not the kind that you’ll pass down to your next generation as an heirloom, but definitely the one you’ll give your next generation when they want to get serious with some or other form of the water sports. Till then, have a great deal of fun wearing it.

Casio Analog Digital Marine Gear AMW-710D-1AVDF AMW-710D-1AV Mens Watch

Casio Analog Digital Marine Gear AMW-710D-1AVDF AMW-710D-1AV Mens Watch

Being trendy and functional at the same time is not quite addressing polar opposites as some might think; looking at the Casio Analog Digital Marine Gear AMW 710D 1AV rests all those doubts and worries. It comes loaded as far as useful features and functions are concerned. To start with, there’s a moon phase indicator along with a tide graph, which earned it the designation of the Marine Gear. Without a precise prediction of these two, no watch is worth taking to the seas. Telling precisely about the ocean tides according to the phase of the moon is a move that can make or break your strides in oceans and also determines if you’ll return to the shore empty handed or with a big catch!

The 12/24 hour format is not so important to the common man unless he’s used to stay in complete darkness; neither the 1/100 second stopwatch. But well, they can mean real fun, provided you know how to use them. It can measure two different elapsed times at once, along with split time. If you are into swimming or running or jogging, this can become your most useful tool. Its compact dimensions and less than 149g weight is an added advantage; it will never restrict your free movements.

Keeping the technicalities aside, let’s focus on its aesthetics. The Casio Analog Gear AMW 710D 1AV Marine Gear is an impressively dazzling watch; credits go to its metallic design which, to say the least, is an eye catching one. Radiating a sportive aura through its black/orange combination, it’s also built tough to resist and swallow a lot of abuse in the field; its scratch-resistant mineral glass, an aluminium bezel and premium quality stainless steel construction (for the case and the band) responsible.

There are some who expect a high-end watch to run on solar power and hence, might shun the Casio Analog Digital Marine Gear AMW 710D 1AV for this. But the catch here is: It also shoots the price up by several notches and when there stays a hefty price factor attached, you don’t feel like putting the watch into harsh usage.

That takes away the utility part and you must now realise that the Casio Analog Digital G Shock is not a mere showpiece or a fashion accessory. Agreed it’s more than enough to fire up the fashion ramps, but that’s not what it’s meant for exactly. None would possibly throw in such useful functions as the Multi-Function Alarms, the Hourly Time Signals and a Full Auto-Calendar (set to run till 2099) just to show people how tech savvy you are. However, panic not, even with the functions used full tilt, your Marine Gear won’t need a change of batteries for at least five years.

Grand Seiko Automatic 72 Hours SBGR071 Mens Watch

Grand Seiko Automatic 72 Hours SBGR071 Mens Watch
Let’s say first that a Grand Seiko is not for them who want to change their watches every couple of years or so. While that doesn’t mean you are not entitled to go for another piece that you might come across and like; it’s just to say it’s not a use-and-throw piece. Even if you are capable of burning a few thousand dollars just because you want fireworks and you are too lazy to go down the road to the firecracker shop.

Guess you got the idea. So the Grand Seiko is a watch that you buy to cover a lifetime and oftentimes, longer. Such is its reliability and durability. And how much ever surprising it may sound, the GS exceeds the Suisse chronometer standards by several notches; it’s the Grand Seiko precision and reliability standards! No doubt it was a substantial challenge but Seiko’s answer to it proved one thing: the Grand Seiko standard evolved (and is evolving) rapidly, its spirit kept intact and bettered with time. Simple, exacting ideals and that’s the strength of Grand Seiko for a little more than half a century. Our firmest belief it will be so for the following five decades or more.

It’s just Seiko’s focus on the pure essentials of watch making that show through the Grand Seiko watches, so it goes without saying the Seiko Sportura shall also exhibit nothing less than what to be expected out of another GS. An ultimate, functional watch with the highest degrees of accuracy and reliability, the SBGR071 offers a very high degree of legibility added with extra levels of added wearing comfort. But that’s what a luxury watch is supposed to be and the Seiko Velatura fills into the category in every aspect of it. The restrained appearance, without any unnecessary elaboration, undue decoration and flashy frills makes it a pure and simple, thinking man’s watch, taken to perhaps one of the highest levels of art over the past fifty years, by a team dedicated to perfect deceivingly simplistic design touches, light years away from being garish or gaudy. The trend continues today as well, though the times changed and Seiko Chronograph watch-making expertise and technology evolved rapidly as well as its spirit and essence. With its roots based firmly on its 50 year old history (which includes Grand Seiko's entry level 9S65 movement), the Grand Seiko stands on its simple, exacting ideals and shall continue being so for the next fifty years to come and perhaps, for many more years beyond.

There are many people who handed down basic Swiss watches as family heirlooms, but you have a different choice now - a HIGH-END Jap that beats Suisse any day in all the aspects!

Casio analog digital Sports Runner Lap Memory WS-300-1BV Mens watch

Casio analog Mens watch

There are many who avoid watches for they can’t afford costly watches; neither willing to go the inexpensive side thinking of the quality. For them, the Casio WS300 watches are a good choice. They never need a careful handling and are built for the long, rough hauls. Everything you get with it comes neatly packed, tucked and trimmed to the point of excellence; this is the kind of watch that survives fires and falls with maybe a small scar on the face to tell the story.

The Casio Analog Digital Watch, for example! Those into the sports arena for 10 years or more must have spotted it right away; it brings together all elements essential to survive abusive usage, dirt and sand. An ideal mix of slim, compact dimensions and a-grade components keep things out of harm's way. Unflinching accuracy, minimal adjustments, high legibility and automatic EL backlight illumination makes it an all-time watch and we didn’t speak about the 330 feet water resistance yet! The 10-lap memory stopwatch can be used to serve a lot of purposes (figure them out, be creative), the second time display- you can set the ana/digi times independently.

From the commercial aspect, this is a non-US version. The black WS-300-1BV is a hard to find item. It’s kind of good news that the trusty, unstoppable WS300 has returned; the bad news is, not for long.

To answer again why the Casio Chronograph Watches makes a wise choice, the first thing one should note is it’s a watch that asks nothing of the owner. It’s always there, quietly doing whatever job it has been assigned, sits super comfortable and accurate, to the mark!

For the dual-time, the crown controls the hands while the LCD-bound operations (alarm; digital DST switch; 10-hour stopwatch, 10-lap memory, the second time, hourly time signal) are button dependent. The backlit illuminator is automatic.

About using it for sports, the watch's lap memory is a great help to anyone into any form of racing. The old race looks thus never got updated and that probably called for its discontinuation. The last few pieces are lying around and are a great way to tell Casio is not only about large digital displays and dials! It retains the full ana/digi EL from the older days of electronic watch-making and a feature that was quite sensational back then – the Casio Chronograph Watch!

Suits a wide range of ages and backgrounds; from the high-school student to the pro-cyclist trying to better his timing or the outdoor hobbyists and off-road drivers competing through mud and sand. But then again, no problem even if you are working in the bar or in the lab!

Sicura Automatic Divers 300M Crystal SM606GB Mens Watch

Sicura Automatic Divers 300M Crystal SM606GB Mens WatchThere’s no need to go blah-blah-blah explaining how great the Sicura automatic divers 300M crystal SM606GB mens watch is; there’s an old adage that says a good wine does not need any bush. Here, bush means praises on highest quality or sophistication. Those who are familiar with the name need no introduction to this other side of Breitling; those who are new to the arena, please read on.

A bit on the background, first. Sicura comes under the rosters of the Chamber of Commerce. The company holds three different names, used at will over the years. Montres Sicura S.A. Grenchenl; Sicura Uhren A.G. Grenchen are for them with super-sharp intellects; the simple one - Sicura Watch Company Ltd. Grenchen - is for the rest of us. They all point to the same organisation, connected to Breitling.

Sicura saved Breitling from its death when cheap quartz revolution killed the big Swiss brands. From 1979 till the late ‘80s, it backed Breitling, rebuilt its potential and then stepped down to let it work individually again. Breitling’s greater potential and appeal made Ernest Schneider (Sicura founder; a pilot and micro-electronics specialist by profession) run just the brand Breitling; Sicura, being from an earlier era of Schneider’s career, embodies his knowledge and expertise as a young professional.

This is also why Sicura focuses mostly on technical watches, even their vintage ones. And vintage or not, the upper-range Sicura watch shall inevitably bear a coat-of-arms on its back cover. It’s high-quality decoration that comes inexpensive.

So it goes without saying Sicura Watches shall not overlook the importance of marine watches. It’s an arena that makes up for a vast chunk of the watch market, so Sicura couldn’t have underplayed. Sicura built this automatic divers’ 300M Crystal SM606GB Mens Watch for divers to rely upon as far as safe immersions are concerned. It is able to stand up to pressures of moderately deep diving, both in calm and rough, sweet and salty waters; shockproof and with a face visible in almost all shades of murky, dark-y waters.

The screw-down crown is one of the highlights of this sophisticated Sicura diver watch for men. Its importance can’t be stressed enough while you are under surface level in the waters while an all steel construction ensures it’s going to go a long way. It’s built not to break with salt water, so chances for the strap links or the safety deployment clasp to go weak is reduced to nil.

Apart from the utility side, it’s a great accessory to go with your everyday life; better if you are into clubbing and pool-side jam-ups. The Sicura Men’s automatic divers 300M crystal SM606GB mens watch is a rarity that you can easily expose to corrosive environments and still smile about it.

Citizen Eco-Drive Perpetual Calendar Sapphire Men’s Watch

Citizen Eco-Drive Perpetual Calendar Sapphire Men’s Watch

Almost all of us have come across this point: Want a watch that’s more than just a pretty face or fashionably stylish but also not overly technical to raise negative impressions in another’s mind. It should make a vital component of power dressing yet a stunning add-on for every sort of gatherings except for the boisterous ones. No, not quite; if you wear a gold chain, you may wear it even at the beach volleyball sessions and recreational water sports as long as you don’t cross 300 feet. Despite the lowering of the actual test readings by the manufacturer, it doesn’t hurt to dive 30 feet less.

This JDM, two-tone Citizen Perpetual Calendar Sapphire Men’s watch fits all the above criteria. The BL8004-53E is its American cousin with a mineral crystal instead of sapphire. This classically beautiful Citizen perpetual calendar watches is not in for the high-dollar competition, but its heaviness shall stun you!No romantic messages preceeds this piece of raw but seasoned manliness; this watch is as lusty as it can get. Kind of a wear it, forget it watch that needs some cuddling for the first time. Set it and it will run as long as it lasts; tikering with the settings is optional.

There’s certainly a large chunk who wants to get on the finer details; they shall be delighted to know it will automatically adjust for odd/even months and Leap Years till its 2100!

It’s wide, round stainless steel with a thin, golden outline around the bezel. The polished gold appears again in the stainless steel bracelet; this time with brushed silver interlinks. It’s tough saying whether it’s the gold that gives prominence to the dark background or the background imparting it to the gold parts; anyway, the total presentation is excellent!

The subdials indicate the day, 24-hour readings and mode. With the last one, you select the function you want the watch to perform. You’ll set local time, calendar and alarm (low in db; high on frequency – in plain English, it can wake anyone up from deep sleep).

The hands are luminous and gold-toned; markers are just gold-tone. On top of everything, is an anti-reflective, scratch-resistant mineral crystal.

A note for mechanical men who avoid quartz just because it needs battery replacements. This opens the factory seal, making the watch – how much ever harsh that may sound - lose a small percentage of its authenticity. With Citizen Perpetual Calendar Titanium, you shed that inhibition. Unless something seriously goes wrong (never heard of except for a handful), Eco-Drive shall tick for a lifetime. It is also because of this reason Citizen could bring in the power-hungry features together; batteries wouldn’t even last for a year! Just take care to give it enough exposure to neon lights – a couple of hours everyday for three weeks – or, in bright sunlight (so that the heat doesn’t fall on it head-on) for 4 hours. It stores three months worth of charge, full brimmed up. The cut-out doesn’t let any overflow happen.

Tissot Automatic T-Classic Mens Watch

Tissot Automatic T-Classic Mens Watch
Watch chauvinists have long adored Tissot not only for their heritage but also for the fabulous styles and designs they keep belting out almost every year. This mindset is stronger among those who always liked, like and will keep on liking autos better. True, mechanicals also mean self-sufficiency; you are not reliant on another entity for feeding. You sure won’t like to see your expensive watch turning into a fancy paperweight just because you lack the time to take it to the service center or just plain unavailibility.

Next comes accuracy and watch guys shall value both of these in this aspect. Different arm positions averaged out within a 24 hour span; their mechanical factors shall lead to zero inaccuracy. Over longer spans; the accuracy factor for the T049.407.16.031.00 and the T038.430.11.067.00 is almost equal to quartz watches: +3 sec to -2 sec. Over a month’s span, the averages shall stay near zero variation.

Both the Cheap Tissot Watches are inexpensive but looks way opposite to what they actually are. Enough to fool almost all of them around, the Tissot PR 100 and the T-One family have given the world two fabulous selections that are both precise and robust!

A traditional yet up-to-the-minute look is present in both. Swiss wizardry manifested in quality materials and craftsmanship, bringing an iconic status to the entire PR 100 and T-One line of watches. Let’s talk about one at a time.

The T049.407.16.031.00 is a brushed-finish on a brown leather strap. Now, there are hordes that match the combination and “they match smartly” is too commonplace. Let’s instead call it something slightly (actually, quite a lot) different from the run of the mill brown/silver combo. What really challenges your eyes is its somewhat industrial appearance. It runs on the 25 jewel ETA 2824-2 caliber, a trusted workhorse from the ETA mechanical line of chronometer grades with ETACHRON regulator mechanism.

Nothing much to say about the luminescent hands; Discount Tissot Watches quality speaks here again.

The T038.430.11.067.00 is a double celebration from the T-One line. A perfectly advanced piece of technology in an admirable embodiment, it represents quite a few occassions including engagements, weddings and anniversaries. A 25 jewel, Swiss ETA 2834-2 Tissot Mens Watches automatic mechanical movement beats inside; it is the 2824 with a day function. It holds power worth about 42 hours when fully winded. The stainless steel bracelet can be replaced with a brown leather band, maintaining parity with the brown dial.

When true elegance meets sophisticated, classic styles, products like the T049.407.16.031.00 and the T038.430.11.067.00 come out to complement your occassion; both are suitable for formal daytime parties and evenings of ultimate luxury. From banquets to business dinners and corporate parties, these two are intended for them with refined tastes.

Ultimate & Unmatched quality of Citizen Watches

Citizen Eco-Drive ChronographThe ultimate and unmatched quality of Citizen Watches can be seen equally in all Citizen watches, from the very traditional to the very contemporary, out of which, some even made it to collectors! It comes from the high-end craftsmanship embodying stellar concepts in high-end materials. Not just in Eco-Drive awesome, but also in its quartz and automatic variants, down to the DCP or the Deployment Clasp! They need a firm, heavy push on the button for the clasp to open and are another example of Citizen’s quality control in making their watches.

Those not familiar with Citizen Eco-Drive, it is a technology to convert light (any light, that is) to electricity and store it as electrical charge for later use by the movement. It’s much like the concept of the rechargeable batteries only with the exception of here is no battery. The ESU (electrical storage unit) is different; they are capacitors with an almost infinite life unless your luck is really, really bad.

It’s a solar panel well hidden under the watch face that caught the light but now, many of the Eco-Drive watches have them around the dial, thus opening larger and better design possibilities. This is when metal dials were introduced and it turned up a whole new side to Eco-Drive.

The ultimate and unmatched quality of Citizen Watches were also present in the Eco-Drive Duo range of watches, now discontinued and is a rare gem in the Citizen arena. Here, there was no solar ray to trap; instead, it was an automatic quartz power source. Another variant to this was the Eco-Drive Thermo using temperature differences to create the charge.

The secret is creating very strong movements with a very strong body and to look pleasant along the way. Under the strict quality control, an ultimate and unmatched quality is the only way to go. Citizen movements get entirely MADE IN JAPAN, giving them an ultimate precision and reliability. For example, even the automatic MIYOTA movement used in the mechanical Citizen watches is as shock-proof as many other high-end Swiss movements. But at the same time, they are easy to repair and handle and don’t cost a fortune for an overhaul. The main plate, the train wheel bridge and all other parts (even the basic) are high-quality METAL, tempered and made superior against large, sudden shocks.

Citizen Eco-Drive Diamond Accented BM6645-53E Men’s Watch unmatched quality and ultimate design concepts show through their designing of OVERLOAD COMPENSATION DEVICEs, POWER SAVING and RESET MECHANISMs and not just Eco-Drive. However, their ultimate is perhaps the automatic time adjustment concepts; formerly, Radio Controlled Timekeeping while now, it’s the Satellite Wave. The watches synchronizes to signals from radio clocks (in Japan, North America and Europe) and from satellites orbiting the Earth, respectively.

Citizen Eco-Drive Alarm Chronograph Perpetual Calendar Watch: Tech-trick up the sleeve
